This light and airy modern property has it’s living accommodation on the 1st floor with picture windows that maximise the stunning sea views and on the ground floor of the main bedroom with a balcony directly over the beach.

On the doorstep are 2 pubs, shops, Post Office and the start of the beautiful coastal walk on the Roseland Pensinula. Within a short drive further lovely beaches with safe swimming, sailing, windsurfing & canoeing and further stunning walks & places of interest.

We stayed at Lapwing in the first week of the Easter holidays. It’s rare that I’m speechless, but on walking into the living room with the huge window overlooking the sea, I was genuinely lost for words. Fantastic views wherever we looked and lots of time spent on the balcony in the sunshine. Portscatho is a perfect location with every amenity we required. Lapwing itself is well equipped and more than comfortable – a real home from home. We would definitely love to return.

good property. clean. fantastic location and views. well equipped kitchen. had good weather so were able to sit out on the terrace most mornings eating breakfast whilst overlooking the sea! Good communication with owner although there was confusion over the code for the key when we arrived as the code provided on the information sheet was different to the one on the earlier emails but, that aside, communication with owner was good and property exceeded our expectations. would recommend.

Stunning location with magnificent views. Both my children couldn’t wait to get down onto the beach everyday. Cottage was cosy and homely with everything you could need. We loved sitting in the window in an evening watching the boats.

We have stayed at Lapwing for the second year running and it is the highlight of our year. The house is front line and equipped with everything you could need for your stay. The large terrace/balcony overlooks the sea with amazing views, and the safe sandy beach below is great for families. It is truly wonderful to lay in bed and listen to waves lapping the shore.The bedrooms are downstairs with the living areas upstairs. There is a large window in the lounge window capturing the stunning views, we have even seen seals in the bay! I would recommend it to anyone looking for a very special place. We have booked in again for next year!
